This cache is dedicated to Victor Borge, aka "The Great Dane", one of the funniest men who ever graced the stage. Trained as a classical pianist, his musical talents were unsurpassed, and formed a cornerstone of his comedy act. I saw him at Carnegie Hall many, many years ago and I can't recall a time when I have ever laughed so hard. In addition to his musical "bits", he also had several wonderful routines concerning the English language.
One was his "Spoken Punctuation", in which he gave sounds to all of the familiar punctuation marks from periods to semi-colons. Once he got going with this it was hard not to laugh to the point of tears! The other was "Inflationary English", in which any spoken word that had the sound of a number in it would have that number increased by one, so "wonderful" would become "twoderful", etc.
He lived in my home town of Greenwich, CT not far from where I grew up and is buried in the same cemetery as my parents. The name of this cache should give you an idea of where to look. The park that it's in is closed from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, although since it's near my house you might occasionally see me out in the field with a telescope on a clear night. If there's no astronomer there, then don't go looking for the cache after hours!
Note: the field and the playground by the school are "off-limits" during school hours, but the area around the cache is available during the posted hours. The container is a green pill bottle. Please replace it exactly as found. I've left a part of the original hide as a decoy for Muggles.
Watch out five stray elevenis stuff and have a twoderful time looking five it.
Congrats to wetfit on the FTF!
