CORTON RING 15 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ailec Nor: During a maintenance visit today we noticed that between #22 and #14 there has been a number of footpath diversions, field boundary changes and a lot of forestry work..... it is therefore with great regret that we are going to have to archive the southern part of this series (#7 to #26).

You can still enjoy a very pleasant 6 mile walk by following the series #1 to #6a and then #27a to #42.

Many thanks for those who have visited these caches and left such kind and interesting logs.

Geocache Description:

Following the success of our nearby Littlecombe Ring Series we couldn’t resist setting another trail. This series of 44 caches of differing sizes, shapes and hides will lead you through more of the Wiltshire countryside leading up to the Great Ridge and Longdean Bottom and then down into the Wylye Valley through the villages of Sherrington, Upton Lovell and Corton.

The caches are set in such a way that they can be completed in one 12 mile round walk or attempted in two separate 6 mile circular walks. Either way we hope you enjoy the walk and countryside as much as we did when setting the Ring. Look out for some splendid scenery and an abundance of wildlife.

Other caches in the immediate area include Camouflage 2 (GCXGP0), Q=10 (GCWB49), Walks and Views Galore-ious Revisited 2 (GC18PR0), Herne2’s Little Thing 3 & 4 (GCQPC6) & (GCQPCH), Church Micro 475 Sherrington (GC1MRV6). Walks & Views, Little Thing 4 and the Church Micro are directly en route.

Have fun!
