Cache placed between Toland Gate and Toss Another Cache on the
Barbie (GC1B5NQ) at the end of the picnic area. Can you see the
last picnic table? Bumped the difficulty rating up, since cachers
have noted that the coordinates are not accurate with the tree
cover.
Kenny is now the Park Host. I told him that there were caches in
the park, and he said that he had heard of these treasure hunts. So
stop and say hi if you see him at his trailer on the main road.
There was a fire in the 1980s and the park has not been maintained
since. The County was looking to turn this area into a Golf Course
in 1999, but now it is a perfect place for caching. Not many
visitors during the 6AM to 6PM park hours when the gate is open.
Walking or biking allowed anywhere including the loop road at
anytime. Driving allowed on the North – South Road only. Are
you sure you are looking in the right spot?
