Not a SpisterMooner puzzle. It's quick, two-stage offset cache. This is my second attempt to hide this cache. I originally wanted it to be a traditional find, but this is a better location to put my cache. THERE IS NO CACHE AT THE FIRST WAYPOINT! Just info to get in order to find the final waypoint. See below.
Waypoint 1, the posted coordinates, which is where I wanted to put the final originally, is at a geographically interesting location. It is a mere 100 ft. south of the one point (OK, one of two, but the other is over the Indian Ocean) which is the exact same distance from three of the most significant icons of the state of Washington: the Space Needle, the state capitol dome, and the very summit of Mt. Rainier. To a geonut like me, places like this are innately cool, and I figured other geonuts like me in the caching world would find this interesting too, albeit in a geeky sort of way. Waypoint one marks the closest I could reasonably get geocachers to the actual location. (Look into the backyard across the street for the actual spot.) Waypoint two is a short drive away. BYOP.
No need to leave your vehicle at waypoint one. Simply identify the three digit number on the yellow sign at the waypoint. Let this be ABC. Final waypoint is at N 47, 09.(518+ABC) and W 122, 15.(316+ABC).
NOTE: This is the third try for this cache in a new container and log, put together rather hastily with what I had on hand as I wanted to get this back up while I had the chance.
