Geocache Description:

A small magnetic key box with room for a log only. BYOP

The Rocket Drive-In first opened in August of 1957 with the movie "The Sundowners". It was part of the Robb and Rowley theater chain and later became part of the United Artist theater chain. The theater was built for 325 cars. The tower was originally wood constructed and spelled out the word ROCKET in colorful neon letters surrounded by rockets. The tower was replaced in 1985 due to wind damage. The Rocket Drive-In closed in 1986. If any of you have a picture of the old tower, send it and we will post it on this cache.
