Geocache Description:

Located just outside the Bangor West railway station.

The railway came late to Bangor. In the 1860's the town commisioners wanted to develop Bangor from a town smaller than either Donaghadee or Holywood to a prosperous residential town. The line was given permissions to be built by the Belfast and County Down Railway on the understanding that it was not continued to Conlig.

The cache is slightly bigger than a 35mm film pot and can take regular coins or very small bugs. There are no trade items.
