I am currently screening the complete seven seasons of Buffy for the 4th time and it occurred to me that a Buffy series would be an obvious theme for me. So here we go with number one.
"From Beneath You It Devours" was the driving theme behind the apocalypse of the seventh season. This season marked many life changes for the characters. Spike revealed what he gained at the end of the 6th season, Faith returned without the homicidal issues, Willow got down with her bad (girly) self, Xander found a new, more narrow, way of looking at things, and Buffy? Well... she saved the world. Of course.
The first hint of something from beneath devouring was when a yappy Yorkie got made into a snack by something that exploded from underground, but it turned out that it was only a Sluggoth monster and the only thing is was going to be devouring was teacup puppies.
This cache is about the size of a film canister. Its hiding place does indeed appear to be in the process of being devoured from beneath. This will progress throughout the spring and summer. (Yeah, that's a hint.)
It is only big enough for itty bitty trade items. Bring your own writing tool.
