Percorribile in bicicletta, per una passeggiata o come luogo ideale per un po’ di jogging all’aria aperta, questa passerella funge da trait-d’union ed unisce più località, permette di passeggiare e di chiacchierare, di accorgersi delle piccole cose che sfuggono alle realtà veloci e motorizzate.
E’ difficile scindere la realtà dell’osteria da quella del paesaggio che l’accoglie. Situata in riva al fiume, Nea sta di fronte alla splendida isola di Villapendola, lontana da auto e rumori: quest’oasi silenziosa rifugge da una realtà industriale spesso invasiva.
Raggiungibile da uno stretto ponticello della restera, che conduce a Treviso costeggiando il fiume, e più a valle attraverso il ponte detto “della Centrale”, un sistema di chiuse vinciane, l’isola è circondata da una enorme ansa del fiume e si collega ad una passerella costruita interamente in legno: ben integrata col paesaggio circostante, si snoda serena proprio davanti all’osteria al di là del fiume.
Nea è sorta appunto qui, all’incrocio della grande ansa che forma l’isola con il ramo morto del sile, modificato per necessità commerciali ed energetiche, vicina alle ex industrie Chiari & Forti, importante sito d’archeologia industriale.
Con la sua frasca l’osteria crea un continuum con il paesaggio circostante: seduti a sorseggiare un’ombra (assaporare un cicchetto ed un’ombretta) posiamo gli occhi sullo scorrere quasi pigro e sereno del fiume e possiamo con l’immaginazione lasciarci andare…seguire meandri e bassi canneti fino a Venezia, ripercorrendo, come la nobiltà veneziana - che qui e lungo il corso del Sile costruirono splendide ville – il loro viaggio fin verso la laguna.

With its frasca the inn creates a continuum with the surrounding landscape: sitting sipping a shadow (enjoy a tipple and un'ombretta) we lay eyes on the flow and almost lazy calm of the river and we can let ourselves go with the imagination ... follow meandering and downs reeds to Venice, through, as the Venetian nobility - that here and along the Sile built beautiful villas - their journey from the lagoon.
