Le plus simple est de
démarrer du Col du Testanier. Et de là, descendre le chemin
forestier sur 2km jusqu’à la barrière, où on peut garer sa
voiture. Depuis cet endroit, traverser l’aire de piquenique
et, après le gué, prendre le chemin montant NNE, en laissant sur la
droite la route longeant le lac. Au panneau Font Freye prendre à
droite et, plus loin, prendre le chemin Malatrache.
Le retour se fait soit à l’inverse de la montée soit en
boucle. Pour ce faire, après la cache, continuer sur le chemin
montant sur 40 pas environ. Au point bleu, descendre le sentier
sous les arbres jusqu’à un cairn où le sentier de droite
rejoint la piste de l’aller dans un virage en épingle.
Attention ! le sentier est pentu et inadapté aux jeunes
enfants.
Start from the Col du
Testanier, and go down by the forest track, for 1.24mi
approximately, until the barrier where the car can be parked. From
there, walk across the picnic area, and after the ford take the NNE
climbing track on the left of the road running alongside the lake.
At the signpost Font Freye walk on the right track, and farther
walk on the Malatrache track.
The return may be the
opposite way or using a shortcut with a slope inappropriate to
young people. The shortcut departure (post with a blue dot) is on
the track, 40 steps ahead, after the cache. A nice shaded footpath
goes down in the middle of oak trees; at a cairn take the right
path, which gets back the outward way in a U-curve.
