Two Tree Island is a 640 acre site which was reclaimed from the sea in the 18th century when a seawall was built around the saltmarsh, the enclosed area being used for rough grazing and subsistence farming.
This cache is set in the western part of Two Tree Island At the western tip of the island is a lagoon with a bird hide from which you can see birds such as redshank and heron feeding.
At low tide many waders such as Curlew, Dunlin, and Grey Prover can also be seen feeding on the mudflats and while placing this cache we saw a cock pheasant land on the saltmarsh!
