Seattle's Central Park Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

cmloveland: I'm retiring this cache. The plaque at Waypoint 1 is pretty interesting because of the blatant mistake in the coordinates it cites, but not may people come here and find the cache. It is hard to keep dry and active. Someday I may try to resurrect it, but adios for now!

Geocache Description:

This is a popular park on North Capitol Hill. You'll get to learn about its history and practice some simple math to find the cache.

Waypoint 1: Go to the posted coordinates and read the plaque. As
any good Seattle geocacher would know, two of the two-digit numbers
describing the location of the park are inaccurate but one of those
two is REALLY inaccurate. Add the digits of that number together to
get AA. Let the correct number be BB. Add together the digits of
the tallest place noted and multiply the sum by BB to get CCC.
Waypoint 2 is at N 47º 38.6AA W122º 19.CCC.

Waypoint 2: A lot of plants lay between Lake Union and Lake Washington in 1850. How many of them had a one-word name? Multiply that number by 82 to get DDD. How many were there in total? Subtract 5 from that number and multiply the result by 15 to get EEE. Waypoint 3 is at N47º 38.DDD W122º 19.EEE.

Waypoint 3: How many letters are in the first two words on the
plaque? Let that number be FF. Multiply it by 2 and turn the
resulting two-digit number into a three-digit number by repeating
the second digit to get GGG. The final is at N47º 38.6FF W122º 19.GGG.
