Help clean up and maintain a trail, and more. You'll meet new friends and have fun, all while giving back to the landscapes you love and cache in!
We will begin by meeting at 8:30 am at the Doyle Center in Leominster, MA for our assignments and then head out to the near by trails around 9:00 am and work till 12 noon to help clear out trash and the damage done due to this winters ice storms along the trails. Please bring gloves, and if you have lopping shears or bow saw or a hand tree pruning saw, bring those items to cut limbs and branches into smaller more manageable size to drag off into the woods.
The majority of the cleanup will be moving brush and trash out of the forest so please come prepared for this type of work.
In order to log this event you will need to help with the cleanup and you will need to sign the log book (which I will have in my possession).
In case of bad weather on day of or evening before, the event will have to be postponed for safety reasons, but we will also consider using the alternate date of the following Saturday.
