Geocache Description:

You're looking for a locked ammo can. You'll need a kayak or canoe to reach the cache.

It seems that most people avoid some of my caches. I really can't figure out why. I've come to the conclusion that most people just don't like going way out into the woods where you may be miles away from people, homes, police, rescue, etc. I don't understand why, but I think that may be the case. This cache is for the people that have always wanted to try one of my deep woods cache but never got up enough nerve. With this cache you will never be very far from houses or help if you need it. In fact you will not even have to leave the city limits of Boiling Spring Lakes. So if you want to experience nature but don't like being out of the reach of 911 this may be the cache you've been waiting for.

You are looking for a locked ammo can located on private property. You have permission to enter the property from the lake side ONLY. You do not have permission to enter the fenced in area. This cache is only available during daylight hours. Also since it's on private property, if possible send an email to the cache owner if you plan to attempt this cache.

There are two locks on the ammo can so you'll have to find two keys hidden nearby.

Key number one
N 34° 02.285 W 078° 03.944

Key number two
N 34° 02.290 W 078° 03.954

Since there is no public parking on the lake that the cache is located you will have to park at one of the public parks and figure out how to paddle from there to the lake that the cache is on. To do this you will need to carry your kayak across at least one road. I would suggest that you use satellite pics to plan where you will start and your route to the cache. There are currently two other caches within paddling distance of this cache. Either one of those cache locations have parking available.

There is also a resident travel bug on the property. If you would like to log the travel bug, follow the directions on the travel bug's page.
(visit link)

This travel bug goal is to meet geocachers, and not to actually travel. Please do not remove the travel bug from the cache location.

This camo technique is appropriate only on private property with the express permission of the property owner
