lisaharrington: After visiting the cache years later, we realized that the steep climb to the cache was not family friendly.

Geocache Description:

This is a nice walk along Spring Creek. The cache is within 50 feet of an easy and fairly well traveled trail, but be careful on the short climb to the cache or better yet, look for a way around the steep climb. Once you know roughly where the cache is located, it's easier to get to indirectly.

This is a popular area for dog walking too. There is a nice fishing hole and small island to explore nearby. Bring your fishing pole or wear water shoes and a bathing suit for some extra adventure in the summer. You can go for the shorter, approximately 1/3 of a mile walk by parking off Rock Road (N 40° 51.046'; W 77° 49.341') and following the trail downstream or a little longer 7/10 of a mile walk by parking at the bottom of Shiloh Road outside of the Benner Spring Fish Hatchery (N 40° 51.455'; W 77° 48.655'), crossing the bridge and following the trail upstream. If the hatchery is open and you've never been there, it's worth a visit too. The cache was a birthday present when I turned ten this January and is loaded with items that you might find at a kid's party.
