Geocache Description:

A cache near Cossey's creek dam and reservoir in the Hunua ranges South-East of Auckland.

The reservoir is one of the water supplies for the Auckland region and has a capacity of 3,180 million gallons. It was officialy opend on 29th November 1955.

The dam is constructed of compacted clays, rubbles and rocks placed under scientific control. All materials having been obtained from the valley.

The cache is a "little brother" of XC's Hunua Macro (visit link) , so if you have done that one you'll know what to expect.

The cache contains a logbook, a pen and some trade items.

The terrain raiting depends on where you start. You can drive almost all the way up or start from the Hunua falls.
