Geocache Description:

This is part of a series of caches that take you to places where President Barack Obama spent time while growing up here in Honolulu.

Photos show Gramps Dunham playing with his grandson at “Sandy's” when little “Barry” was pre-school aged.

As a teenager, Obama came with friends to Sandy Beach to bodysurf its dangerous shore-pounding waves.

Sandy Beach waves have injured many, and this beach is considered a very advanced surfing spot.

The adept bodysurfer Obama again got into a few waves here on his August, 2008 family vacation.
