Geocache Description:


I have been taking my little brother out geocaching since he came home to visit in December. We decided that we definitely needed to hide a cache while he was home for February break. While we were filming a movie this summer ("Debauchery Castle: Part III" --> see www.dhet.ca for details) we found this little gem of a spot and thought that it definitely needed a cache so that others could find it. It is located near a place we affectionately knew as "Suicide Hill" when we were kids. This area is also home to the Silver Spring Homestead. There is a a memorial plaque and the stairs of the homestead still standing. It's an interesting bit of history!

We suggest parking at N52° 11.243 W106° 36.878. The cache is only a short walk from this point.

The hike down to the cache is a little tricky, the way back up can be tiring. You are looking for a small 80 ml lock'n'lock containing some small items, along with a log and pencil. PLEASE be sure to replace the cache where you found it, as this area is often frequented by hikers, bikers, and snowboarders in the winter. Good luck!
