Kitty!!: This series/location means a lot to me as I have happy memories of riding my beautiful Arab Mare around the paths. However, were I to set the series today I would do it very differently. I intended to revise it but cannot do so until at least after the Essex Mega! Caching has moved on and its now time to put the current series to rest. Thank you to all who have taken the time to find it.

Geocache Description:

This is the first in a series of caches which form a short circular walk. It contains coordinates for the Buckwyns Bonus.

The route is over official footpaths/bridleways - through woodland, farmland (grazing and stables) and country park. The whole walk can be completed in around an hour - though it can be shortened (if 1 cache is missed out) or extended by taking in some other great local caches - and still be circular! (See GC1B35E, GC1FTBP and GC1A085).

Trees did affect our GPS signal - in a couple of places so the coordinates are not 100% accurate - please be prepared to widen your search. However, the cache hides are all on, or just off, official footpaths and with the clues should be easy finds.

The paths get VERY muddy in winter hence the terrain rating on some of the caches.

This cache, No 1, is very close to the suggested parking location. This fits a single car. Alternative parking is available a short distance away. You are looking for a specimen tube.

We hope you enjoy the walk - it is one of our favourites. We have twice spotted a green woodpecker a couple of times in trees by the parking area - but not managed a photo.
