A straightforward traditional cache at the end of a easy walk with views of the Bristol Channel, Cardiff and the surrounding countryside. The terrain can be muddy in places and is probably not suitable for pushchairs.
Parking is available at 51°33.710N 3°09.201W The walk to the cache site is under 2 miles up a gentle but continuous slope through woodland that opens out into a footpath along a ridge with great views of the surrounding area. Beware of muggles on four legs and two wheels!
For those who are interested, you should pass a trig point on your way to the cache.
The Maen Llwyd at 51°34.414N 3°09.229W is a very popular pub for Sunday lunch and is recommended as a great place to celebrate your find.
There is a small prize for the first to find. We hope you enjoy our first cache!
