Geocache Description:

Located in RV Griffin Reserve in Desoto County.

Griffin: Mythical beast that had the body of a lion and the wings and head of an eagle. Often known to be guarding treasure.

Not Merv Griffin, not event Peter, Lois or Stewie Griffin or even Kathy Griffin.

RV Griffin Reserve is named after a former Desoto County Commissioner. This is a 6000 acre park. Details about the property can be found here: (visit link)

I had plans to hide several caches here, however you have to walk 1 1/4 miles down a dirt road just to get to the trails, so I placed this one close to the entrance.

To find this cache, drive past the Griffin Park sign and simply take the dirt road to the left all the way to gate, park and pass through the small swinging gate. Walk down the dirt road a couple hundred feet until your geo senses start going off.

Congrats to Ayres-Warner for FTF!
