Geocache Description:

There are some days that you feel a need to slow down, take a drive, and reconnect with the land you live on or near. We have set up a few caches in areas where we like to do just that. Some have history that we know of, all have some history but it's hidden to us. We hope you enjoy a Sunday drive and pick our caches along the way.

This is in area where it appears three local town forefathers may have converged. The names of the roads continue their legacy and their actions form local history. The following information was found at ststephensgoldhill.org

Early in the year of 1837, six leading citizens of the community—John Peck, John Lentz, Solomon Nussman, Peter Troutman, Henry Barringer, and George Culp—held a meeting in the local schoolhouse and decided to build a church in the neighborhood. Construction of the first church, located in what is now the cemetery began before the congregation was actually organized.

This church still sits nearby
