Easy to find "family oriented" cache located in Alabaster, AL.
Girls Rule! I don't think so but my daughters certainly do. They choose the cache location and all of the contents. Pencils, toys and other goodies are in the cache with plenty of room for more.
You're looking for a camo painted protein canister. It's hidden fairly well for a regular sized traditional cache. These are my favorite types to find when we go caching!
Park at the Alabaster Senior Center which is also a the trail head on this end. It's less than 1/4 mile walk from the parking lot. "Buck Creek Walking Trail" is a new walking trail in Alabaster. Kudos to the "Alabaster Park and Rec Dept" for establishing the trail. Also Kudos to the "Friends of Buck Creek".
Being that we hid this cache in the winter, it's hard to say what the tree canopy will be like in the summer. Hope GPS reception won't be a problem. Also in the summer months keep a look out for creepy crawly critters. We didn't see any poison oak near the cache site but of course this is the south so I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll find some.
