Short walk and just a little off the main pathway. Interesting part of area history.
The cache is a standard size ammo can hidden in a portion of the Clemson Experimental Forrest with an interesting past. You will need to park at the trailhead which is actually Bombshell Rd. This area was used in the 40's as an air force practice bombing range for planes flying out of the Greenville air force base.You will notice many large pot holes along the edge of the trail and scattered around the area are many shell casings (it's safe for kids, don't worry).
