This cache is located about 1.5 miles from the trailhead at
Wainwright fields in Scarborough. Parking is located at N 43 36.411
W 070 17.288. The greenbelt trail runs all the way to Bug Light
Park in South Portland. The trail starts at the fields and is paved
the whole way (I think it is, there was a lot of snow, but I saw
asphalt in spots). When facing the fields from parking a kiosk may
be seen on the right side of the fields. The trail runs along that
side then goes into the woods.
If you follow the trail it leads straight through the dump!
After going through the dump the trail heads back into the woods.
The cache is just off of the trail. BUT MAJOR BUSHWHACKING IS
NEEDED
Winter is the best time to find this cache!!
There is also another way to get to the cache. You can park at
the Highland Ave Cemetary and there are unmarked trails leading out
the back that hook up with the greenbelt trail eventually.
I'm sure that it could also be accessed from the north end of
the trail but don't have coords for parking, somewhere near the
Amato's in South Portland.
