This cache is located on a small western ridge above Iller Creek, in the late afternoon shadows of Tower Mountain.
The hike starts as a gradual trek up the south up Iller creek trail. At about 1.1 miles the trails y's. As you can see by your GPS reading, you'll need to take the less traveled steepening west fork trail to the cache area. We didn't find this trail until we were heading back down after placing the cache. Hence, the name of the cache.
The cache container is an ammo can with a log book, pencils and lots of trade items. A prize awaits the 1st to Find.
From this cache you have great views of both the east ridge and of Tower Montain. Views of the valley below are peeking through just around the trees. While the Parking lot sits at around 2380', the cache is located at about 3080' (700' accent)
The muggle rating for this cache will be non-existant.
