There are not even many locals that know this beautiful tranquil place is here.
This is a duck pond in the middle of the bush. It is not hidden in any duck droppings, but there are some in the area so if you are slighty squeemish dont attempt finding this cache. See hints.....
There are several bush tracks that will lead you to this cache.
Option 1.....This is a pleasant bush walk on a wide mowed path, park on the side of the road at S36 48.639 E175 03.905 and walk from there.
Option 2....If you want to get your heartrate up, drive to the Onetangi Sports Park and park at S36 48.337 E175 04.170 and climb the firebreak in front of the sports pavilion. Turn right at the top and stay on the wide firebreak track until you get to "walkway" sign on the left.
You can take your dog but keep it on a leash or under supervision, this area has some horse traffic, other wildlife and a few bait traps for rats and stoats. There's water, but not suitable for swimming....
