Cache is located at an entrance to the PCT along Kitchen Creek. Very nice trail during the wet season to hear and see a lot of the little falls and even play in them if the weather is nice.
We had attempted to find Kitchen Creek Falls from the Boulder Oaks camp. We had been out twice. The first time we had no luck finding the falls and there were so many people on the trail it was bordering on being not so enjoyable. So we went home, did a little research and decided to try to find it from a different angle. When we approached this trail entrance and shut off the Jeep, we couldn't believe how serene the area was. You couldn't hear the highway only a short distance away and there was NO ONE, not even any cars, in the immediate area. The day was filled with quiet hiking and beautiful scenery.
Don't sell yourself short with this one. Cache is close enough to a major road that it could be cache 'n dashed, but that would loose the whole point. Take a walk and listen to the "crickets".
