Nowhere to Go from Here...but Down

The cache is a pill bottle, larger than a 35mm film canister, camouflaged with tape. No room for much more than the log. Bring your own pen.
This cache is places at the high point along the ridgeline. Trails leading to this point from either direction are sketchy at best. Terrain is steep, and footing may be tricky. Use caution. So as not to cause undue erosion, once near the cache site, please walk along the top of the ridge and retrieve cache from above.
This is one of four simple, no-frills, caches I've dropped along the trail in an attempt to get people on it. It doesn't get much use historically (I think a local hiking group has done some maintenance on it recently to make it passable again), and the eastern portion has some stretches where the trail is hard to find. There are some survey tape markers along the trail in places that will help guide you along, but pay attention to your surroundings, be careful on the steep terrain, and do your best not to harm yourself or the land as you see how lucky we are to live in a place as beautiful as this.
As always, watch where you put your hands as there are critters out here who don't take kindly to having their resting places disturbed.
