Geocache Description:


Cache is released as part of the "Cartoon Cache Series" for the "Rippin 'Round the Red: Looney Toons Poker Run" event, May 2009.

The cache is located a short distance off a paved road that is not maintained during the winter. No bushwacking is required.

SNOOPY (see link (visit link)

Snoopy the Beagle, born and raised at the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm with brother Spike and 6 other siblings, first appeared in Charles Schulz's "Peanuts" in 1950, quickly becoming the most popular of the characters.

Many of "Peanuts" memorable moments come in Snoopy's daydream as a writer: "It was a dark and stormy night". His most famous alter-ego was the World War I "Flying Ace", often seen battling his arch-enemy, the "Red Baron", while flying his doghouse, the "Sopwith Camel" -- Curse you, Red Baron! Snoopy led an active fantasy life, often appearing as "Joe Cool", a bow-tie wearing attorney, a hockey player, and Olympic figure skater. He loved to quaff a root beer, sleep on top of his doghouse, and had his own snappy little "happy dance" known as The Beagle, the Suppertime Dance, or simply the Snoopy Dance.
