Geocache Description:

A cache placed for GeoStomp 09.

A trail system joins Barnhartvale and Juniper Ridge along the bench below Middle Mountain. The best access from the east is from the end of Uplands Drive. It is a fairly level hike on well-established trails.
The word "syzygy" refers to an apparent alignment of 3 celestial bodies, usually the earth, the moon, and the sun, but it could be any of the inner planetary bodies. This has little to do with the cache, but at the time it was the word that came to mind. If there is any alignment, it is a line up the gully from the golf course to the Angel Bones Cache and then beyond to the trail junction. If you were to continue due south, you would hit a ridge that climbs up Middle Mountain.
