All caches are on the property belonging to DRHT. There is no need to go onto private property adjacent to the trail.


This cache is being published so it can be loaded onto electronic devices. Any logs prior to 1:00 PM Sat. March 14, will be deleted.
This pasture brings to mind a tale of the old King George, back in the 60's when we grew more cows than houses in the county. We had a friend, a part time farmer, who showed up one night with an urgent request. As usual in those days, he was a sheet or so to the wind. Turns out he had a very dead bull in a pasture similar to the one in front of you (and also not far from here).
He was sure his bull had been shot because of a dispute with a neighbor and nothing would do but a full scale autopsy. We repaired to the pasture armed with an assortment of axes, hatchets, knives, saws and Coleman lanterns, together with suitable libations. In an hour or so we had bull pieces scattered over a twenty yard circle, no bullet, and no remaining libations.
We went back to his house, "shot the bull" for awhile and he went up to go to bed. Shortly thereafter, a shotgun blast sounded from upstairs. My Momma having raised no fools, I hit the door at a full run and went home. A phone call to his wife explained that when she checked, he allowed as how "that *$@!* air conditioner won't squeak anymore". And it never did.
