NANO. Terrain is dirt road with small ruts. Should be able to drive within just a few feet of the cache.
It's a NANO, so no Trade Items, and thus no PEN inside either. I was out on this RAIN FREE (finally) day after all the torrents & buckets we've had dumped on us lately. Praise God for sunny days!!! Anyway, I was getting A Team Vallejo's Ducks and More Ducks down the road a bit and decided that he had the right idea to try to repopulate this area with caches now that many of them are gone. Sooo, I carefully gauged the difference between his cache and the Tauni Birthday cache, and, yep, I found a place for a hide. I whipped out my box of containers and found just what I needed for the spot I'd stopped at. I apologize for it being a nano out here in this beautiful open space, but I wasn't able to find a spot for any of my large containers. As I was setting the coords in my GPS, I was wondering what to name this cache...when I heard the scream of what I thought was an Eagle. Nope, it was a HAWK. He/she perched over in a Eucalyptus tree off in the distance. Then I heard all kinds of Song Birds singing their little hearts out. Couple that with the sunshine, the beautiful blueness of the sky, some fanciful, puffy clouds scattered infrequently about, and yeah, you've got the recipe for a very beautiful time right here. It's sooo peaceful out this way. Well, sure, the occasional C5 makes a handful of decibals as it cruises overhead, and the Amtrak trains like to chime in with a harmony. Otherwise it's just you and the sounds of God's creation out here. Come on out & enjoy it!
