Geocache Description:

It is about half way up or half way down the set of steps and sits just a little ways off the trail.

The "Cedar Steps" were constructed in 1936. There are 229 steps and 33 landings with beautiful views and landscaping. Their is a bench close to where you leave the steps to find the cache, it is not only a good place to rest from the climb but in the fall when there are no leaves on the trees you can see almost all of downtown Hollister.

Cords will get you close, but read the hint for a better idea where the cache is located. You can park either at the top of the steps and walk down, or you can park at the bottom and walk up. Cords are posted for both parking areas.

(This cache replaces an archived cache - just bringing back some of my favorites to the area)
