A recent article has stated that The Myrtle Beach State Park is the
only natural maritime forest still existing along the South Carolina coastline.
This cache will give you yet another perfect excuse to come visit this beautiful location.
The State Park does have an admission charge, unless you have a yearly pass which is only available to SC residents at a cost of $99.00. If you are a SC resident over 65 the pass is half price at $49.50. Daily rates are $8.00 per person, or $5.00 for over 65, $4.00 for kids 6-16, and under 6 are free. We also own an additional 9 caches in the park, and then there is a multi, 2 more traditionals, and an Earthcache, so this will help to make the admission charge a little more cost effective per cache.
Cache is a short distance into the woods, but beware of muggles during peak season.
