Geocache Description:

Great forest hike. Cache is about half way to Caston 2 or Caston 1 depending on your hike direction.

Love this forest tract. All sorts of tree species, wildlife and some nice rolling terrain. In preparation for the 2009 Elmvale Maple Syrup Pancake Breakfast decided more caches need to be placed in the Caston Forest Tract to give further motivation for geocachers to take this about 3Km hike if the seeker is going the whole way between Flos 7 Side road and Flos 5 Side Road north to south or visa verse. In Winter, the snow mobile trail goes within 100m of the hide. In Summer the cache is a 15m bushwack off a side trail branching from the main trail.

The cache was well stocked when placed with something for all family members. If entering from Flos 7 or Flos 5 the forest has an official Simcoe County Tract gate. Cachers are encouraged to use these entrances to avoid crossing private grounds. Flos 5 entrance is at top of a rocky sometimes muddy hill. It is prudent to park low clearance vehicles on the level sections of Flos 5 and take a short hike up the Flos 5 bumpy/broken section.
