This was the original site of a Lime Kiln but when Mum Grom first came to this district to live, back in the 70's, it was local tradition to venture out to this location after Basketball on a Friday night, park on the edge of the dirt roads and drink various bevvies..........it was not unusual for 100+ people to be present......remember this was in the days of earlier pub closing hours - was quite a great experience, being able to socialise in the great outdoors after playing a good game of basket ball and throwing a few hoops!
