Geocache Description:

Peel Road
"Peel Road" was originally called "Poortown" when it opened in 1883, but was renamed in 1885. This was the Manx Northern Railway's closest station to Peel.

The station was a single platform with a simple wooden building which served as staff accommodation and waiting room. A ramp (still useable) connected the platform to the road. The station was unstaffed after 1937 and closed in June 1951.
About the cache
Good parking is available just along the road near Poortown Quarry. If you're after a quick cache and dash, it's possible to squeeze a car in next to the bridge but you'll be blocking a gate and it may be tricky to pull out again onto this fast and busy road.

A better option is to walk from one of the adjacent caches, and even better to continue along the former railway line and take in as much of the series as you can manage.

The tube is hidden in an obvious hidey hole. Please cover well before leaving.
