Geocache Description:

St. Germain's
The station opened in September 1879, with a sandstone station building to the east of the track and no raised platforms.

The line was originally single track, but a passing loop was later built (then removed and rebuilt). Sidings were also built, but both these and the passing loop were removed in the 1950's. The station closed in 1961, although the site was still used as a stop until the station re-opened in 1967. It finally closed in 1968.
About the cache
If you're approaching by car turn off the main road at the old station building. Even though it looks like a private drive, there is a smallish parking area next to the gate.

A better option is to walk from one of the adjacent caches in the series. There are great views towards Peel from the cache area.

The cache is just off the trail, and somewhat protected from the elements.
