Geocache Description:


Ballavolley Halt
Opened in 1965 on the site of a 19th century freight operation, this halt consisted of no more than a sign. The halt was to serve the newly-opened Wildlife Park (which still exists), but closed soon after opening when the rest of the line closed.

The halt re-opened in 1967 for just over a year, this time called "Wildlife Park".
About the cache
If parking is needed, there's plenty nearby. From the Wildlife Park entrance, walk along the railway trail until the cache area is reached. You should see the cache on your left as you head towards Ramsey, but you might need to step off the trackbed for a foot or two.
