Tugman and Wifey: We finally visited this area today to see what the situation was. We drove the road no problem but there are signs on both ends clearly stating this is a "Private Road No Access". That was enough for us to make the decision that these caches will have to be archived. Really sorry to see this area blocked to outdoor enthusiasts and think probably the usual problem of dumping garbage is a good part of the reason for these new signs.
