C'mon In! The Water's Fine! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

jsarche: Sorry, everybody, but it's time for this one to go. I went to check on it tonight, and found part of the container -- and, luckily, the log sheet -- lying on the ground under the tree at GZ, but no sign of the lid. There also were a lot of broken beer bottles and other signs of teen-type mischief (and I should know [:)]). I honestly dont' think it will be sustainable any more. There are just too many signs not only of tree-trimming, but also of people hanging out at the site. Thanks to all those who worked on the puzzle and found the cache. It was one of my first hides, and I learned some hiding and puzzle-creation lessons from it, and that's a good part of the point of hiding any cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is not at the posted coordinates. Solve the puzzle to find the cache (a camo'ed pill bottle that will hold small trade items). Oh, and don’t worry: you won’t need a towel unless it’s raining. You will need a pen or pencil, though.

I swam competitively from the time I took my first strokes in the water at age 6 or 7 through high school, when I basically retired from the sport as captain of my team and among the top five or 10 high school swimmers in Denver Public Schools in a few events. Several years ago, I began swimming again in a master’s program and I help coach a kids’ team now and then, and in remembering how much I loved the sport as a teenager, I wondered why I stopped doing it for so long. This cache is devoted to the sport.
