Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden as part of the 5th Annual Vancouver Island Hide & Go Cache event.

The cache is not on private property. It is a few meters off the road outside of the fence.

My class did a study earlier in the school year about the First Nations people and early setttlers of the West Coast and the Plains. They looked at how the people lived, shared, and learned from each other. They did a comparison of the types of homes, food, clothing, transportation and wildlife that would be found in the two different land areas. The buffalo or bison were most commonly found on the Plains. It was interesting to find that we have bison here as well. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to show people this.

The cache is a cammoed container with a log book, pencil, and trade items. There is a first to find pin and certificate for the ftf.

Also included in the cache containers will be some numbers for a mystery cache. It is important to do all the stages of the Wild and Woolly Caches in order to get all the clues for the mystery cache.
