Geocache Description:

This is an easy 2.5 mile walk (round trip) on a paved road. It's terrain rating is "2" only because of the distance. The cache is a small container. Please make sure the lid is on tight in order to keep the container water tight.

Bethany Reservoir is a great place to fish, picnic, take a hike, or take a bike ride. It is a wonderful place for parents to bring their kids for some quality time and outdoor exercise. This cache is not for folks that want to drive up and walk a few feet and make a find. It requires about a 2.5 mile roundtrip walk or bike ride. However, it is flat and the road is paved. What could be healthier than getting out in the fresh air and taking a walk in a lovely place with someone you enjoy being with. To top it off there are two other caches within just a short distance.

Bethany is at its best from late January through mid May. The hills are green, the cattle are grazing, the fish are biting, and the windmills are churning. There are picnic tables at the parking area, so bring a snack and sit and watch the fishermen do what fishermen do.

THIS IS A KID FRIENDLY CACHE! It is small but has stuff that kids will love. The cache is easy to find and requires no hints. It is a little over 100 feet off the road. So you will have to do just a wee bit of “bushwhacking.” But have no fear it is flat, flat, and more flat.
