Rhiwddolion was once a quarrying community between 1850s and 1914, with its own school and chapel, accommodation for quarrymen, and a number of small farms, but when the quarrying industry collapsed it became depopulated and Rhiwddolion became another of Wales' ghost villages,

Walk back down the hill and turn RIGHT, along side the houses to
N53*05.686 W3*49.494
Go through the gate and you are on the historic Sarn Helen, Roman Road, Togas and sandals optional.
This steep stony road was the only way up to Rhiwddolion until the 1960s, but is now unfit for traffic.
After abit of a climb you cross a forest road go passed the house on your left, Tan yr Alt. Keep walking and at the next forest cross road N53*05.327 W3*49.956
go RIGHT, this will take you to the Multi -cache start point.
