Tippit's Treat Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Alpine Reviewer: As I have not received an update from the cache owner, I am archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you (the cache owner) wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the near future, please contact me, and assuming it meets the guidelines, I will be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located off trail, through some boulders and underbrush at the base of the Three Sisters rock formation. Depending on where you head off the trail, it could be a moderate to somewhat steep hike to the cache.

This cache is named after our new dog, Tippit. He led the way to this hiding spot and will be joining us on future geocaches. There are quite a number of goodies in this cache including a few things for your dog. One of the initial items in this cache is a CD of our friend, Bob Sinclair's album "Always". If it is still there when you arrive, please take it, copy it and place in another cache so someone else can enjoy Bob's music.

Start at the lower Alderfer parking lot and head towards the Sisters or Hidden Fawn trails. The shortest route to the cache from a developed trail will be at a switchback on the Sisters trail. That waypoint is provided. You can also depart the Hidden Fawn trail towards the big rock face, which will require a little steeper off trail hike. The cache is an ammo box and can be found at the base of the Three sisters formation in a semi-cave like depression in the rock face.
