In crossing a dry river bed, there were several areas where other vehicles drove up the other side. I picked one that had rocks, deep holes, soft sand and it was steep. I was at a point of "no return" so I continued, then jumped out of my vehicle and did a "walk around" to make sure there were no dents, scratches, bent "things" or "broken" tires, etc. Everything seems fine. Since I was out, I decided to place a cache.
I would suggest, if you cross the river, use the road that isn't so rocky - there were several of them.
