Arguably some of the best views in South Cumbria are offerred from up here. The caches are located only a few hundred yards from a busy 'honey pot’ and yet I would wager you will not see another sole once you leave the main path.
Enjoy the views. Magnificent North, South East and West, to Kentmere, Fairfield, the Langdale Pikes, Coniston Old Man, Furness, Morcambe Bay and The Pennines. Hundreds of acres of access land are rarely explored and yet are a delight. Many routes to choose from - perhaps the easiest from High Dam car park then up though the woods.
The gate (waypoint) has an old 'private' sign on it - this can be ignored the land beyond is all free access land now. Feel free to roam at will.
Choose your own route - bit a great afternoon out would encompass
