Quick 1/10 mile walk or snowshoe from the parking area.
Ammo can located on path to Hidden Pond.
As of yet, there are no designated walking trails, though there is an informal path to the left of the information kiosk. It's wet much of the year so come prepared. Dogs are allowed. Wear blaze orange during hunting season. Property is for day use only.
Dont forget to snag Cache Coffin at the parking area while you are here.
Placed with the express permission of the Town of Freeport and the Freeport Conservation Trust. The Hidden Pond Preserve consists of approximately 56.5 acres of land, complete with pond, stream, field and woodlands. The habitat supports several species of song birds, upland game birds, snowshoe hare and white-tailed deer. Current uses of the preserve include walking, birding, fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling (in designated areas) and hunting.
