Quick park and grab. Parking is plowed in the winter.
Dearly Beloved, we've come together to celebrate the short life of a bison tube. Her final resting place overlooks the Hidden Pond Preserve. Cache in peace and please do not disturb this cache after dark.
Placed with the express permission of the Town of Freeport and the Freeport Conservation Trust. The Hidden Pond Preserve consists of approximately 56.5 acres of land, complete with pond, stream, field and woodlands. The habitat supports several species of song birds, upland game birds, snowshoe hare and white-tailed deer. Current uses of the preserve include walking, birding, fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling (in designated areas) and hunting.
As of yet, there are no designated walking trails, though there is an informal path to the left of the information kiosk. Dogs are allowed. Wear your blaze orange during hunting season. Property is for day use only.
While you're here, be sure to find Hidden Pond's Killer Cache.
