Located in the south east corner of the Galloway Forest Park in Dumfries and Galloway, Mabie Forest lies between Dumfries and New Abbey.
It is one of the most popular destinations in the area for outdoor recreation and offers something for everyone from world-class mountain bike trails to quiet picnic areas and stunning viewpoints.
There are lots of different pathways that you can walk. The cache is not too far away (depending on which colour route you take!!) Enjoy your time here as it is a wonderful place. The cache can hear the running of the Mabie Burn,although it likes to hide away off the path and under a green covered root of a fallen tree. It may be wise to use your walking boots that are waterproof - just in case!!
The cache is a tupperware container with logbook, pen, some smalls and a travel bug and first find badge.
Take time to enjoy the wonders of this forrest and the many little hidden places that are so peaceful.
